Soldier On is about communities coming together to support our wounded. It's about mateship, and keeping our promise to Australia's wounded warriors.
Soldier On works to help Australia's wounded in three ways, by enhancing, inspiring and empowering them on their road to recovery.
We work to enhance the good work done by the Department of Defence and the Department of Veteran Affairs by fundraising for rehabilitation equipment and forming partnerships with those leading the file in the treatment of physical and psychological wounds.
We look to inspire Australia's wounded, and the public, by helping them tell their stories. By giving servicemen and women the chance to participate in adventure activities and other feats of physical and mental strength, we hope that other wounded individuals will be inspired to do the same, and that the Australian public will be inspired to help us let them.
Finally we want to empower those wounded in contemporary conflict, by providing opportunities for training and employment after they return home. Whether they chose to continue serving as a member of the defence forces, or whether they chose to become a civilian, we want to make sure these men and women are supported and are given the opportunity to lead successful, fulfilling and rewarding lives.
Soldier On is built through our many personal experiences of having friends and also colleagues go through rehabilitation after being wounded (both physically and psychologically). We feel that the best way we can continue to give back to these guys is through establishing a way for all of Australia to give back – by supporting Soldier On.
